Camper Preparation

Information will be sent out several weeks in advance to the camp providing a preview of the curriculum, drills and instruction that will occur at the camp. Also, there will be links on the website that will provide a visible view of what to expect.

Camper Evaluations

Each camper will get a personal evaluation at the camp during the first session. This will give not only the coaches and instructors the opportunity to see the skill level they are at, but also give the player, parents and their coaches a specific report showing what the camp examined as a needs improvement area. The evaluation sheets will be provided through the Athleon website following the camp.

Lodging

The University of Cincinnati has provided overnight campers with the use of their dormitory facilities for Saturday evening. This includes bed and bedding.

For those traveling farther distances and need accomodations for Friday evening, we can provide that. This is an additional $50.00 and includes all Friday evening dinner with collegiate coaches on campus, lodging at the University, Saturday morning breakfast and fun games. Please email mike@ohiowaterpolocamp.com if you need this additional day.

Attending Parents

For parents coming with their child and staying in Cincinnati, the camp will have a block setup to get a discount rate at hotels in the area. Also, all parents are welcome to come watch their son or daughter participate in the camp. There will instructors and referees available for Q & A sessions on specifics of water polo. More information to come.

Insurance

No USA Water Polo or American Water Polo insurance is required. All campers are covered through a weekend camp insurance policy. This saves on an incredible cost for the individual camper and family.

Camper Age Requirements

All campers must be of the age of 13 and entering into their freshmen year of high school. Campers coming out of their senior year of high school and entering their freshmen year of college also are allowed to participate. We feel this is a good opportunity to help those going into club or collegiate water polo.

Age Group & Splashball Water Polo

For those under the age of 13 and still interested in participating in the camp, there will be specific sessions during the camp for younger children. More information to come. If you are interested, please email mike@ohiowaterpolocamp.com. Submit names and ages of the age group/splashball campers.

For players who are 10-12, the cost of the mini camp is $25. If they have a sibling attending the 13-18 camp, their entrance is free.
For players who are 5-9, the cost of the splashball camp is $10. If they have a sibling attending the 13-18 camp, their entrance is free.
