The 2017 Ohio Water Polo Camp was the final year for the camp due to time constraints and commitment required to continue to keep the camp as successful as it has been. The Ohio Water Polo Camp is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization and to continue to help grow the sport of water polo it will be donating the equipment and funding to organizations around Ohio. In addition, the Ohio Water Polo Camp will be endorsing all camps around the Midwest.

2015 Camp In Review
Take a look at the Camp Review Book to check out what went on at the camp a couple years ago.
The 2017 camp will be held on July 14 – 16, 2017 at the University of Cincinnati Keating Aquatic Complex. The camp is open to any and all campers from ages 10-18. Campers will gain advanced individual instruction in addition to learning elite level team strategies and philosophies of the game, all while staying in the state of Ohio. There is an 65 camper limit to the 2017 Ohio Water Polo Camp.

- Instructors from Serbia, Turkey, Florida, California & Ohio

- Structured camp setting with pool time, in the water instruction, game-like drills and scrimmage
- Outside of the water “Chalk Talk” reviewing different strategies and understandings of player movement.
- Special referee section to give the players an understanding of the rules and how the game is being called
- Water polo specific dry-land training
- College/club information
- All campers receive camp t-shirt, camp bag and camp brochure discussing the activities, instruction and coaches/instructors at the camp.

Led Age Group Programs to 6 Southeastern Championships while in Miami, FL.
Continues to be an instructor at several USA Water Polo Camps around the country.
Curtis Robinette, Head Coach at Mercyhurst University
Curtis became just the second head coach in Mercyhurst men’s water polo history in the summer of 2002. He is responsible for all but two victories in school history and has quickly built the program into one of the strongest at the Division II level. Under his coaching, Mercyhurst has won the Division II Eastern Men’s Championships five out of the last six years.

Information will be sent out several weeks in advance to the camp providing a preview of the curriculum, drills and instruction that will occur at the camp. Also, there will be links on the website that will provide a visible view of what to expect. Take a look at the Curriculum tab of this website for more information.
The University of Cincinnati has provided overnight campers with the use of their dormitory facilities for Friday & Saturday evening. This includes bed and bedding. All campers throughout the entire weekend are supervised by counselors and staff that have received pre-qualification background checks.
For parents coming with their child and staying in Cincinnati, please use the accommodations tab for nearby hotels. Also, all parents are welcome to come watch their son or daughter participate in the camp.

The pool is located in the Campus Recreation Center with the entrance to the camp near the Rec Center Circle.
No USA Water Polo or American Water Polo insurance is required. All campers are covered through a weekend camp insurance policy. This saves on an incredible cost for the individual camper and family.
A waiver is required for all campers to have their parental guardian to complete.

Camper Age Requirements
All campers must be of the age of 10. Campers below the age of 13 must have strong swimming skills to participate. Campers coming out of their senior year of high school and entering their freshmen year of college also are allowed to participate. We feel this is a good opportunity to help those going into club or collegiate water polo.

All registration and payments are due by June 1. Campers who have not submitted payments will be removed from the attendee list and replaced with a waiting list camper.
- Sign up prior to March 15 for early bird pricing!!!
- If more than 10 athletes per gender from the same team sign up and submit payment before March 15, each athlete receives $25 off.
- Each sibling of a full paid athlete that signs up before March 15 will receive $25 off (must be 10 or older).
- Please send email to [email protected] if a team has 10+ per gender or if siblings are signing up.
100% refunds will be provided if registration is withdrawn prior to May 1st. Following May 1st, all fees minus $25.00 will be returned. This is due to the initial expenses per camper (insurance, materials) that are required to be paid for early. Following June 15th, there are no refunds for camper registration. At that point, all registration is final. No transfers allowed.
Any returned checks will apply a $35.00 fee.
